Apologies for Shipping Delays
Apologies for any delays in shipping and processing, we had to prioritize getting all of last weeks orders out by Thursday as Friday was a federal holiday with no mail delivery in observance of Juneteenth. We normally use Friday's to get a jump on orders for the week ahead, but had to wrap up on Thursday.
Health Updates
I’m debating changing our shipping times to a standard 10 business days which sucks, but I’ve been in a constant pain flare since last October. My doctors have contributed to it becoming worse and teetering into the intractable pain category by playing pain patient hot potato because no one knows what to do with me since they spent the past two years using me as a human pin cushion with cortisone injections to the point I am now diabetic and higher risk cardiac as well further complicating the pain management because I can no longer do corticosteroids nor NSAID's so that leaves me with opioids and no one in my entire region is willing to do that nor do they do pain management for Autoimmune inflammatory pain or Fibromyalgia so I have to embark on a complicated process of going through a different health system in the state and its been a lengthy and slow process. I do not know when this pain flare will subside or how it will be treated as there may be another switch to my autoimmune meds if there is no reduction in symptoms after the next injection in July.
I know it has been taking me longer to get orders prepared and out the door because I am moving slower than usual and when my body crashes out the rest of the day is spent laying in bed. I’ve done all the things I can to make it easier on myself and to get turnaround times faster, but it is what it is at this point in time. Everything is going out within our standard processing times, but may been on the longer side of the equation now. Letting go of the physical retail space and closing our Amazon shop helped a little, but the next hurtle is here with the status of my health.
Policy Changes
We have had a few issues lately with scammers and as a result we had to change our fraud detection filters on the website to automatically reject any sales flagged as high risk for chargebacks and fraud. This has also impacted our 24 hour only cancellation policies as one scammer for reasons unbeknownst to me would place orders and then cancel them a day or two later and they kept doing this on eBay and then tried on our website. It takes a special type of terrible person to scam disability-owned small businesses.
