Another day, another what the literal eff, such is life in 2026.
I am sitting here taking a quick lunch break contemplating what we have lost over the past 10 years. I've lost friends, family, community to the parasitic MAGAt invasion and infection. There is nowhere that is safe from them. "Build it and they will come"... like a plague of locusts. Prior to 2016, it seems like we were able to talk about sociopolitical topics passionately - and even if we disagreed on some points, we still were friends, family, and community. This stopped in 2016. The divisiveness has been palpable.

I keep seeing people shocked that there are "MAGA witches"
Really? They've been here the whole damned time. They have been part of the spiritual warfare the whole time. Its not just Love and Light Wellness Influencers and New Agers. It is every aspect of spirituality and occult circles - and the Left Hand Path is overrun with incels and magat trash and creators that weaponize them under the veil of spirituality, but just preach hate and conspiracy theories. They turned anti-wokeness into a spiritual topic the same way that the Christofashists did.
Vet your sources - the authors, the content creators, the leaders and members of any group or order and doubly so for ones who do not shut that shit down, know the dog whistles and red flags to look out for, be wary of the "we don't get involved" excuses or "free speech" excuses. Creators that rely heavily on the "everything is a conspiracy" is a huge red flag because they are probably down the Joe Rogan pipeline to dumbfvckery.
Protect yourselves and protect your communities. You have earned the right to leave spaces that are no longer safe for you. You have earned the right to shun those in your communities or outright expel them. Your safety is more important.
I didn't do enough of a good job of this at times. I allowed it into my circle and the parasitic infection started to try to lure me in. It failed. I took a pet project of trying to sway two smaller content creators of this ilk to see my humanity and that of the others, but in the end, I wasted a year of my life and was becoming just as hateful, but for different reasons.
Protect your peace. I have no regrets in leaving behind those terrible alleged "spiritual leaders" and communities. It's sad that it came to that, but I don't owe anyone anything to that end.
