How to use Flying Ointments and Flying Oils

  • Flying Ointments and Oils are used in similar ways.  Ointments are a pliable balm and liquid oils in dropper bottles.
  • Skin test first. Use the mini spatula with a pea sized amount of the ointment or a few drops of the oil and rub onto the wrists, wait 30 minutes, and reapply as comfortable. Effects can last 4-6 hours
  • If any adverse reaction or skin irritation occurs, immediately wash the area with cold water and soap.
  • Store in a stable temperature. The average shelf life is 2-5 years
  • to use with alcohol, cannabis, and SSRIs (antidepressants), but they may increase drowsiness.

      How to Use Herbal Tinctures & Elixirs (all types)

      Herbal tinctures and elixirs are created by infusing herbs into an alcohol base, strained, and then diluted with distilled water. Tinctures have a grain alcohol base and Elixirs have a brandy + honey base.

      • Directions for Use: take 1/2 dropper full per day and hold under the tongue for one minute before swallowing. Avoid food/drinks for 15 minutes afterwards. May be added to beverages or taking with honey if the taste is too strong.

        How to Use Herbal Smoke Blends

        Herbal smoke blends can be smoked in a pipe or by using rolling papers. They also can be used as incense.  The smoke blends contain trace amounts of honey and distilled water for moisture in the preparation process. Smoke a small amount and wait 20-30 minutes to see how you feel. The affects can vary as well as the activation period of time depending on metabolism and physiology.

        • Do not ingest flying ointments, herbal smoke blends, or flying oils or apply to any mucous membranes. Herbal tinctures and elixirs are safe to ingest.
        • Do not use if pregnant, nursing, or trying to get pregnant.
        • Do not use a week prior to or after surgery to avoid overdosing on anticholinergics.
        • Do not use it while driving or operating machinery.
        • Do not use if you have glaucoma, epilepsy, seizures, heart, liver, or kidney issues.
        • Datura should not be used if you have an enlarged prostate.
        • Do not use if you are elderly and immunocompromised.
        • Do not use if allergic to nightshades, aspirin (salicylate), or ragweed.
        • Do not use if you are taking anticholinergic medications, sedatives, anxiolytics, antipsychotics, or glaucoma medications. Ask your doctor if you are not sure.
        • Keep away from children and pets.

          • Dry mouth, dilated pupils, blurry vision, light sensitivity, and rapid heart rate
          • Adverse side effects can include the loss of coordination, heart palpitations, difficulty swallowing, excessive thirst, dry fever, dizziness, restlessness, vomiting, and delirium. Seek medical attention if necessary, for any adverse side effects.

            Safety Precautions for non-toxic plants: Fly Agaric Mushrooms, Lotus, Klip Dagga, Mexican Dream Herb, African Dream Root, Wormwood, and Mugwort

            • Do not use any fly agaric or Indian pipes based products if you are allergic to mushrooms
            • Do not ingest or use internally or apply to mucous membranes
            • Do not use if pregnant, nursing, or trying to get pregnant.
            • Do not use it while driving or operating machinery.
            • Do not use if you are elderly and immunocompromised.
            • Do not use if you are allergic to ragweed and other plants in the Asteraceae botanical family.
            • Do not use if you take medication for epilepsy/seizures. Ask your doctor if you are not sure.
            • Keep away from children and pets.

              Possible Side effects with Wormwood and Mugwort:

              • restlessness, changes in heart rate, difficulty sleeping, vivid dreams, and nightmares.

              Possible Side effect with Other Non-Toxic Products (Lotus & Dream Herbs)

              • Mexican Dream Herb can cause visual hallucinations for some people, but that is more likely to happen when smoked or consumed. Some people have reported slight nausea after consuming African dream root using the root directly either raw or powdered. It is best used as a tea or tincture. Please check with any contraindications with any pharmaceutical medications.
              • Fly Agaric mushrooms can cause drowsiness, Do not use if allergic to mushrooms
